Removing a non-physical Storage Device

Hello,

I've recently noticed (after a Windows Update) that a Storage Device got added. I have seen it before but I don't remember how to remove it.

Data system: NTFS (OEM-Partition)

Storage: 450MB (35,7MB free)

 

I don't mind it but Windows always notifies me that it's full.

This is a common bug with the latest version of Windows 10 (1803). 

 

Follow the instructions in this thread carefully, and it'll remove the mount point assigned to it.

Try this:

• Open the registry editor as an admin
• Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
• Look for and delete "\DosDevices\{LETTER}:" where {LETTER} is the drive letter of the one you want to remove
• Reboot the computer
