Hey guys, I think I have a DNS Issue, but I am not completely sure. The issue I am having at the moment is in the attached screenshot. I have masked the top and bottom bars just for privacy, but the YouTube recommended and titles and stuff are grayed out, thats exactly as it looks like on my screen.

The thing that makes me think it is some kind of DNS issue, is that a similar type of issue happens on my other computers on my home network. Also, from time to time on my main computer, I will be browsing regularly and I will click on a link then I will get a DNS error on google chrome all of a sudden and it will stay that way for a while and then fix itself after a random amount of time, from a few minutes to a few hours.

Things I have tried include:

I have tried two different modem routers, both have the same issues.

I have restarted and factory reset both routers.

I have changed the DNS on my computer via the IPV4 properties and also via the router settings.

If anyone has any idea what is going on in the attached picture any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks -Mike

Have you tried using a different DNS server?

Goggle

8.8.8.8 primary

8.8.4.4 secondary

CloudFlare

1.1.1.1 primary

1.0.0.1 secondary

I'd change it to google or OpenDNS to test.  A lot of ISPs are having issues with blackholing the 1.1.1.0/24 subnet which leads to erratic or broken resolution in a lot of cases.

Did you set this statically or in the router? I'd try another server. It's clear the issue isn't PC related if all computers on the network are affected.
