So i am planning on building myself a new PC soon. I have done allot of research on what parts i would want and how to actualy install things, but i have no actual real experience when it comes to building a PC.

I eventualy came up with this system: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rNGygw

I mainly play heavily modded minecraft (which i heard is mostly CPU heavy, hence the 8700k.)  and my current system is fairly old and often not capable of running it well, im also planning on possibly playing more GPU demanding games in the future so thats why theres a 1080 in there too.

I dont realy need much storage, but storage speed sounds great to have. Which is why i ''just'' put in a 500gb SSD without a secondary storage HD. And even if i suddenly need more storage in the future i can always add a hard drive later.

I dont realy know much about motherboards or cpu cooling, but im not planning overclocking (since its unlikely that these parts cant handle the workloads ill give them at thier base speeds)

So is this motherboard fine? and will this CPU cooler stay relatively silent while idle? and will it not get too hot under load?

As for the power supply, apperently they run most efficiently around 50% load, so thats why its a  750w one.

My budget for this is about 1600-1700 Euros. I also dont realy care about RGB and all that shiny stuff. (altough i dont want my case to look like it came from the stone ages either lol)

So is there anything i could do better/differently here? im realy not sure myself since this is my first time doing this. So im asking if someone could check this and make sure there are no obvious issues.

Thank you in advance :)

Edit: i am using a 60Hz monitor at 1920x1080 right now, though i might consider trying out 144hz in the future.

Not sure where your budget went. Here's pretty close performance for a fair amount less, 1070ti matches the 1080 with an easy OC.

Motherboard just might need a BIOS update, could go ATX/X470 rather easily though.

German part picker anyways

For the monitor upgrade you'll probably want 1440p 144hz IPS or 4k 60hz IPS, I prefer 4k over 144hz, daily desktop use is really nice.

Oh, sorry, i thought i put the case in that list,i guess i somehow forgot. - i was planning to use the NZXT S340 as case,

As for things ill do with it, right now i mostly play minecraft. But thats partly because whenever i try to play something else my system  cant handle it and my fps drops below desired levels even with all settings on minimum.

as for guru:

Thanks for the info, ill consider changing some things overtime.:)

Kind of a hot box, always best to get a case built for good cooling IMO. basically anything with a front mesh will be alright for airflow.
