DVI-D -> HDMI vs DP->HDMI? Difference?

Aegis_Titan

Just as the title says, is there difference between DVI-D to HDMI and DP to HDMI?

Due to HDMI im experiencing some problems with text, ive dug through many solutions, regediting so the scale is full and more on GTX 1070ti, when I use HDMI-> VGA everything is fine, but that creates around 50 ms delay, which is horrendous for gaming, swapped to DVI-D to HDMI, same issue, il try tomorrow DP to HDMI and see if that makes any difference, now im wondering is there actually any difference between DP to hdmi or DVID to hdmi? the artifacts are as seen in attachment.

I know, but question is, will the DP signal be different through HDMI IN than through DVI? also its the blurryness of text

No, the cable will make no difference to picture quality as long at it is not a cheap crap cable and all the of cable types support the resolution and refresh rate you are trying to use.

I was told by nvidia support to try it out, but I'm somewhat confused, the HDMI output causes minor amount of blur weirdly enough and not in all apps, so no idea.

Pretty much only place where there is a glitch is in text apps, discord, chrome etc, playing around with cleartype solved it a little, but the text in games is perfectly fine and there is no blur either, so i find it weird
