Best RGB solution

What's the best way to set some RGB strips in my PC case? The cheap ones come with an adapter and wall socket but it's a pain to route the cables out of my case, into a wall socket and I have to leave a PCI bracket open. 

 

I'm looking for something which I can connect to my PSU(maybe via a SATA power cable or molex) and I don't have to buy a new adapter or cables everytime I want to cut out a new strip. Something like the NZXT HUE+ but not that expensive.

if you want full flexibility you could buy WS2812 LED strips and program a microcontroller to drive them but you will anyhow always need a new controller for each strip you want to control individually.

If you have a spare optical drive bay maybe look for the old NZXT Hue on Ebay

Why don’t you buy molex PowerCD RGB strips in the first place?

With this, there is no hassle involved and you could have neat cable management.

I would use DarkSide RGB controller, it can plug directly into the PSU.
