Audio Connect Notification Spammed

So, like the average person using the average case, my front audio connectors don't work and will often think something is plugged in, causing a notification to appear (and lagging my game), then the port will realize that there is nothing there and the notification will be dismissed automatically.

So my question is this:

What is the easiest way to stop this from happening? (and how to do it too)

Thanks,

Andrew

Sounds like you may have a short in the wiring to the front panel audio connector, or in the connector itself. If you just want it to stop, unplug the HD_AUDIO cable from the header on your motherboard. If you want to fix it... um... RMA the case if still under warranty, or break out the soldering kit.

Thanks for the response (and sorry for my late reply)

But I was wondering if there was a way to just turn off the notifications without having to pull apart my PC (I'm a lazy boi).

or possibly just turning off the front audio connectors?

You could right-click the volume icon, choose Playback Devices, then right-click the device corresponding to your front panel audio and disable it. If you have Realtek or other drivers installed, you may need to first separate your front panel audio connectors from the rear in the settings.
