Which RAM is Better?

Okay so I am stuck between two different types of RAM, the Corsair Vengeance RGB or the Corsair Dominator Platinum Series?

Depends which speeds/timings of each you're looking at.

 

But based on looks i prefer the RGB.

instead of getting recommendations for each individual part of a build, best solution is to create a thread in the New Builds forums with a budget, location, and what the computer use is. this way you are not spending on what's better than what is best for the budget and getting best usage of your money.

 

spending money on doms or RGB, prolly can get you a better GPU or CPU or platform..

Thank you for your advice, I currently have a i7 7700k and want a black and red pc build, I just was bouncing back and forth between the two different types of RAM because I was planing on painting the Dominator's metal pieces.

One of the best things you can do when thinking about buying new ram is to check your manual or check online for the motherboards QVL for memory to see what is the most compatible memory for the mobo.  Good luck.

They are similarly priced (depending on timings, frequency and capacity) but I am a big fan of Dominator Platinum aesthetics.

There are Dominator versions with red heatsink tops. Keep in mind though that they have lights but standard heatsinks don't have cutouts for the light bar - you can either get it as an accessory from Corsair (only the grey version) or from CableMod (they have black heatsinks, so you can make it black with red lighting).
