HELP!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I'm desperate.

 

I just build my first pc and everything works fine, but my 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD doesn't show up in windows (10). It shows up in BIO and in "device manager", but not in "devices and drives" nor "disk management". I've tried swithcing the sata cables, updating the drivers, different programs. Nothing worked and now I'm desperat, please help.

EDIT: Guys, the drive doesn't show up in "disk manager"

Disk Manager> you will see a large black bar saying unallocated > right click it and set a new volume

Yeah like the above posts said, go to Disk Manager.

 

Right click the big black "Unallocated Space" and create a new simple volume.

 

Then go through the wizard and use NTFS, Default allocation size, quick format ON, use any name you want ex. DATA.

 

If it asks you to initialize the disk or says that it is not initialized, initialize it as GPT (GUID Partition Table).

Get in gparted live, create a partition table (use GPT) and format as NTFS.

As all the other posts above said, you would have to go to disk manager and create a new volume for the unallocated space. I had the same issue when I first built my PC and that's how I fixed it.

Go to Control panel, Click on Administration icon, and then Management tool. scroll down to storage. You will see a blank drive. Right click on that drive mount it and then format it
