Hey, guys I got this computer a few months ago

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0747W15QL/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And I'm looking to upgrade the ram

Here's the RAM: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-2400MHz-PC4-19200-Memory/dp/B01ARHBBPS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1527395592&sr=8-3&keywords=8gb+ram+ddr4

Just wondering will it work?

Also is there any other better brands for the price or just a better brand for the money spent on it?

Thanks!

You will want to make sure that you get the exact same ram as what is already in there. The reason is that if all of you ram modules are not the same speed and timings...then it will default to the lower speed and larger timings and worst case cause instability issues.

Just something to consider

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x cooled by Pure Rock Slim // RAM: Gskill Flare X 3200mhz CL14 2x16 32GB// GPU: Powercolor Red Devil RX 6650 XT 8GB// Motherboard: ASRock B450m Pro 4 // PSU: Seasonic G550 Gold 80+ // Storage: 4TB pcie nvme game drive, 512 GB m.2 sata3 OS Drive, 4 TB WD Red HDD // Monitor: Samsung S22D300 21.5" 1080p 60Hz, MSI 27" 1080p 144hz Freesync 1ms display // Peripherals:  Logitech fancy shmancy keyboard and moise with rgb and gaminess stuff, very fancy | Kingston HyperX Cloud Core headset

Having RAM with different timings/clock speeds can cause instabilities. You can check your current RAM timings using CPU-Z, and most RAM listings on Amazon/Newegg should have the timings under their description.

Techquickie has a video about this:

Okay, I have a MSI B250M Bazooka in the computer and I have the ADATA XPG Z1 DDR4 2400MHz and I see 2 4 gb sticks for not a bad price but I was just wondering is there any perks to have two sticks over just 1? I know it takes up an extra slot on the motherboard but I didn’t know if it helped with speed or anything.

Do you think it would be better to just buy one stick of 16 gbs?

Here’s the two I’m looking at

https://www.amazon.com/Ballistix-Single-PC4-21300-288-Pin-Memory/dp/B01N7RQ882/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1527431162&sr=1-3&keywords=16+gb+ram&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A677429011%2Cp_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A10656894011

and

https://www.amazon.com/Patriot-Memory-2400MHz-PC4-19200-Single/dp/B074Q1LM4K/ref=sr_1_9?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1527427435&sr=1-9&keywords=16+gb+ram+ddr4

The prices are around the same but I see the speed is 2666 over 2400 and it it worth it to spend the like $20 more to get like a g-skill or corsair I didn't know if with ram its better to get the name brands so they work better and last longer
