Can CPU Intensive Apps damage other Components?

A year ago i played a lot of Arma 3 and i loved it, but than my PSU failed killing every component in my PC, so is there a causation, or merely a correlation?

 

Can a CPU intensive game kill other parts (and No, my temperatures were not very high...)

The bad PSU most likely caused the other parts to fail. Probably the only way a CPU intensive program can cause other parts to fail is if VRMs (really bad ones) overheat a lot. I wouldn't worry about it at all though.

No game, whether CPU or GPU intensive, should kill hardware simply by being itself. Your system's death was most likely due to a dodgy power supply. What were the full specs if you remember?
