Weird behavior with my CPU

GirlFromYonder

Ok this is weird. I haven't tried another processor yet but my cpu seems to accept only one ram stick in each channel. No matter the mobo or the kit number. So a cpu RMA time?

Like so could be a dumb question but did you try alternative slots. ie 1 and 3 or 2 and 4? I've found them to be like that....you don't populate 1 and 2 together....it's 1 and 3 etc.

Have you checked the pins in the socket and the pads on the cpu? Make sure none are damaged.

This, also to much mounting pressure from CPU coolers can cause this.
