Hello,

I am about to buy a new computer since i only use my laptop (ASUS N56VM) and its starting to fail on me

Background when seing the specs, i mainly play league of legends and the graphics card of my laptop is a intel 630M

Now, my build so far:

Box- ATX NOX HUMMER ZN (still thinking if i should get it with or without window. I wont buy anything with RGB and my main concern is noise)

Motherboard- ATX ASUS TUF B360-PRO GAMING

Processor- INTEL CORE I5-8600K HEXA-CORE 3.6GHZ C/ TURBO 4.3GHZ 9MB SKT1151

Storage- SSD M.2 2280 SAMSUNG 960 EVO 250GB TLC V-NAND NVME

Memory RAM- Memory RAM G.SKILL RIPJAWS V 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4-2666MHZ CL19 RED

Power Source- POWER SOURCE NOX HUMMER GD850W

Cooler- Missing

Graphics Card- Missing

Reasoning

About the cooler, someone gave me an idea of WATER COOLER CPU CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES H100I V2, however i heard that water collers require a bit more maintenance and i am not an expert on this one so i was thinking about a air cooler but i would like for it to be quiet. I head there are some nice options under 100€ but i am not sure what to pick

Alhtough i am buying the PC really soon, i heard about the new GPUs of intel are coming in the summer (GTX 1160/1170/1180) about the same price as the ones we have right now (and hopefully they wont be overpriced because of mining). This is the reason i am not buying the Graphics Card yet and would use the integrated one that is a 630 (aparently its better than my 630M i use right now)

So far, this build is about 900€ and i was thinking about 1500€ with the GPU when the time came.

What are yout thoughts about all this

Thank you in advance

i would say a 8400 is enough

you're sure it's not nvidia?

it will take a while before they come to market and they might be too good for mining and raise in price. but not a bad idea to wait.

there is supposedly a thing about there is going to be intel gpu's, but he was assuredly thinking of Nvidia

The OP motherboard is not a good match for the i5-8600K cpu. With a B360 motherboard I would suggest one of i5-8400, i5-8500, or i5-8600. Don't be fooled by the lower idle speed of the i5-8400, its max turbo is 4.0Ghz. The boxed (consumer) version of these processors include a cpu cooler. If more silent operation is desired, consider using something like the Cryorig H7 instead.

Instead of an NVMe M.2 drive, get a 2.5" SATA III ssd. Get as large a model as the budget supports. The higher performance of an NVMe drive would not be that noticeable. Certainly not noticeable, in my opinion, to justify the added cost.

An 850W psu is about twice the capacity that could ever be needed by the build. Consider instead something like a Corsair CX450, CX450M, Seasonic Focus 550 Gold, or Focus Plus 550 Gold.

Thank you guys

Grockle88- All these components are picked in a really good store here in Portugal so i trust in them.

LukeSavenije- As Grockle88 said i did mean NVidea's xP

brob- i only chose this motherboard because it had in built wi fi but it can actually be a different one. I did hear about Cryorig so i will look into it. The difference betweent this SSD and a normal one was like 20€, that is why I chose this one. I guess i was protecting myself for the future in the PSU thing. However is it also too much when i buy the GPU?

The listed cpu is unlocked and can be overclocked. The motherboard does not have any features for overclocking. A Z370 motherboard would be necessary for that. As well as a good cooler. If you have no plans to overclock, check out B360 and H370 motherboards, a number of them have WiFi. But if the Z370 proves the best price and feature wise, go ahead and get it.

Would the 20€ let you get a 500GB ssd? If not, the NVMe drive is ok, I just don't think you would notice that much difference.

A 450W psu provides enough capacity to comfortably handle a GTX 1080, even with some overclocking. A 550W comfortably handles a GTX 1080 Ti. An 850W unit would only be called for if you wanted two gpu.

brob- since i am not a big tech guy i am not thinking about overclocking, however i will look into that because if the price gap is not to big its better to just have a  motherboard that has it all
And the 20€ would not get me 500GB
Since i am not thinking about 2 GPU i will probably go for a 550W then.

Thank you
