what gpu should I get?

I would like an expert opinion on what gpu I should get if I want to do youtube content, playing skyrim legendary edition with graphic emb/gta v with the redux mod and most importantly: monster hunter world on ultra at 30fps or higher if possible...

I would personally hold off on a GPU for now and get a better CPU.

 

Also, that PSU is worrying...

$500-600 for a new CPU and graphics card, possibly mobo as well can do that. Can you spend that much?

the cpu has 3.6ghz with hyperthreading and is also part of kaby lake and the power supply is something that I plan on changing when moving on over to the rvz02 from my current elite 130

Doesnt make it fast still. My 7 years old CPU at 3.4GHz clock speed from the factory still leaves the G4600 in the dust.

I wanted an expert opinion on my gpu and I get blown up with cpu and psu notifications... did you only see the build links and didn't consider the reason for the post??

I can play gta v at 20-30 fps and skyrim (the 2011 version) plays like a dream... I just want a gpu to run more demanding mods and future games...

Your CPU will bottleneck a lot of the higher end GPUs. Besides, gaming PCs aren't all about the GPU.

 

Also, your PSU is kind of crap to be honest.

all we're trying to say is that your expectations are way too high for what you're gonna get from just a graphics card upgrade, and the PSU isnt safe to use.

 

A 1050ti is a good paring with a G4600, it just wont do ultra settings even if you aim for 1080p 30fps. More like high settings or very high

980ti and 1070 is needed for your requirements, but without a much more powerful CPU their performance will be limited.

yes, corsair's SF450 is usually the best deal while the SF600 can hold all your future upgrades
