Inventory app

Hi i m a programmer and i m in charge of my company's inventory computers and i was wondering if there was an app for this that work well with custom field there is none. So if it is the case what would make a great app for this kinda works. (like what feature you would like to see in it).

I guess it depends on what kind of functionality you actually want in this case.

 

For me the biggest feature for computer inventory management is automation, either an installed agent on each machine that inventories to a central server or a "scan my network" kind of solution that goes away and tries to pull a list of devices with details like serial number.

 

There are plenty of solutions out there, even some free ones actually.
