I recently bought my first AIO liquid cooler, and so far I'm loving it. It's the Corsair H60. Well, I've decided I want to bling up my setup, but I want to be safe. I want to replace the stock fan that mounts to the radiator with another Corsair fan, but one that's RGB instead. I guess I just want to know if this is a safe thing to do since the stock fan is clearly chosen for the cooler, and my new one is not.

As long as it has enough static pressure it'll be fine. You'll often see fans are optimized for airflow or static pressure. Some newer fans, like the Corsair ML series, have great airflow and static pressure performance.

Just keep in mind RGB fans usually need dedicated controllers. It's not a unified solution at all. So make sure you have a motherboard or controller compatible with your new rgb fan.

Main rig: i7 8086K // EVGA Z370 Micro // 16GB Gskill TridentZ 3200Mhz CL14 // Sapphire Pulse RX 7800XT// a variety of noctua cooling // Corsair RM750x v2 //  Fractal Meshify C

Secondary rig: R5 3600 // MSI B450i Gaming Plus // 16GB Gskill FlareX 3200CL14 // MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X // Cooler Master V650 // Fractal Meshify C

Audio setup: Audient iD4 // Adam A7X // Sennheiser HD 650 // Sennheiser HD 25-II // Audio Technica M50x // Sennheiser Momentum 4

I replaced the stock fans of my Corsair 100i V2 with HD120 RGB and it works just fine. For RPM control, I use the commander Pro tho in which all my fans are connected.

If you are unsure about all the RGB stuff, be sure to check my guide in the signature below that shows you how all the proprietary stuff for each brand works!

Good luck!
