Then your C drive is dying. I would look into buying a new one.

So heres the deal when I close a program like google chrome or itunes my computer starts to lag. My mouse starts to teleport across the screen for about 30 seconds then its good. Shouldnt it be the total opposite where when I close programs my computer runs smoother? I checked on task manager and everything was low percentage.

Check your CPU temperatures using software you like; HWInfo 64.

And check the health of your hard drive with CrystalDiskInfo.

Could be hardware related. And if that won't solve anything, then post your PC specs.

Well your C drive is slow. There's that, but I'm gonna assume it's just an old one.

You know, best way to test this is for you top open the Chrome for example, open Task Manager, switch in Task Manager to either Processes or Performance tabs and see if you get a spike on drive activity when you close the Chrome. When the lag occurs.

Which particular process though was eating up those 63%? The chrome itself?

Also, download CrystalDiskInfo and not Mark. You need to check the drive's life.

Drive seems fine. Can you install second Chrome onto your A drive and see if the issue persists?
