Hello,

I am looking to build my first gaming PC.I have created a list of parts that I think would be best. I am looking for feedback for incompatibilities and suggestions.

LIST: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dzQ4sZ

I plan to use this PC for gaming and virtualization. I always have many programs open including a game, Discord, Spotify, Outlook, YouTube, and many internet tabs. I plan to use this PC for running VMs which is why I chose the 8 core CPU over a higher clocked 4 or 6 core. My budget is roughly the amount of the current list.

I do have some questions:

1. Is there anything special about the windows being OEM? Will I get extra bloatware or reduced features as apposed to a code from Microsoft?

2. Is this cooler compatible with the CPU and motherboard? The list thinks not.

the wraith prism performs as good as the 212 so skip that and the thermal paste. get an MX500 and 3000mhz ram kit instead.

In my opinion, it'd be better to go with the i7-8700K. My MacBook Pro has a dual-core i5-7360U and it still runs VM's well. What monitor are you using because the 1080 might be slightly overkill. I have an Asus Rog Strix 1070ti A8G and it runs games at 2560x1440 at a very playable framerate.
