Is it necessary to reinstall an OS if it's already installed on an old HDD?

Fluvous

I just finished my upgrade and got it powered on, and to my surprise it took me straight to windows with all of my files working (I forgot to format it). Is it still recommended to reinstall windows if I make sure to update my drivers and such? I changed out my motherboard, RAM, and CPU.

Talking from personal experience; I don't recommend to leave it like that, it might look ok at first, but unnecessary problems will most probably appear in the long-term such as bad resources management and bad (CPU, GPU) temps. Therefore, you ought to reinstall windows

You should get an SSD and install windows on the SSD and just keep the HDD for the old files or format it and use it for Steam or something.
