I already own a rig consisting of an i7 4790k and an evga gtx 980ti kingpin. Today, I found an add on Craigslist fr an Asus strix 980ti fr about $200. So will that run properly with my current card in sli??

Or should I search fr the kingpin edition??

i mean what do you have to gain from putting another 980ti in SLI with your current one? Is there some GPU intensive task you do on the daily that requires you to have an SLI rig? If not I would just stick with your Kingpin and overclock the hell out of it

I mostly play rise of the tomb raider and I always get 60fps...not a single for more than that...

My friend has a 1060 and even he gets more than 60fps...

Isn't 980ti kingpin more powerful than a 1060??

Surely, a 980ti kingpin is a beast of a card and it overclocks like a champ...

Ur problem sounds like ur VSync is turned on...turn it off ND u'll getting way better frame rates..

check V-Sync in the game settings

Ooh....that worked...

Also, I m planning to upgrade my monitor to a 1440p one....will that card support 1440p resolution or should I get it after I buy a new GPU??

I would argue that tbh.. I managed to get a second r9 280x to crossfire for just a 100 euro's, definitely was worth it.

So yea SLI when the GPU is selling for SRP not worth! but when they get cheaper and you already have 1 in your system.. it aint that bad at all ^^
