There is some cardboard inside of my deadbolt and I am not sure how I can get it out of the deadbolt's keyway. The correct key does not go in all the way and causes the door to not be locked or unlocked from the outside. Does anyone know how I can fix this issue and if so please let me know how I can fix the problem?

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

Remove the bolt from the from the door, take it apart and remove the portion where the tumbler is, after that it should be easy to remove the cardboard and then put it back together.

That or buy a new dead bolt.

I have seen this before, it a stupid prank and also a good way for thieves to prevent you from locking your door.

I have tried to take out the lock and use tweezers to get the cardboard out of the keyway although the tweezers do not fit in well and can not manage to remove the cardboard, I am trying to avoid buying a new deadbolt, how can I get the cardboard out of the lock (please be more descriptive on how I can remove it)?

burn it with a torch

I do not think that that would be safe and it could cause damage to the metal, would there be any other ways than that?

Without knowing what kind of lock it is this will be a little difficult to describe but in general you should be able to remove the retainer ring from the inside of your door pull out the unit and disassemble from there.

The tumbler assembly (part your key goes into) should be held in place by a retainer screw or ring. Once you get it out you should be able to insert a pin or something to push the card back out.

Take a picture and post and I can help you a bit better.
