Recently I purchased a brand new Astro a40 trs along with my PS4, and I seem to be having this really bad buzzing noise when I talk. I’m used to playing pc games, and have used other headsets such as the seenheiser game zero, hyperx cloud alpha, Razer kraken 7.1s, and turtle beach px21. I have never had this issue before with any of my other headsets. My current hyperx cloud alphas don’t have this problem. Some people told me it was bad grounding, but I don’t believe it is the problem as I’ve never had this issue with another headset, even the current headset I’m using doesn’t have the loud buzzing noise. Should I try to exchange the pair.

Do they have the same affect when used with other devices? Make an oudio recording on your phone or PC and see if the buzzing is there.

In that case, it might be a good idea to return them and either get another pair, or just look for a new headset entirely.

Only using it for PS4, so hopefully a new one fixes it. Astros are supposed to be the best for console, that’s why I leaned toward the a40s
