Good suggestion, I personally own a c70 case, and it's awesome. It has great cable management options and is quite easy to build in.

I'd suggest this:

AMD FX 6300

Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3

Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3

Gigabyte Windforce GTX660 Ti

Samsung 840-series 120GB

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200.14

Lite-On DVD Burner

Rosewill Capstone-M 550w

Corsair Vengeance C70 Military Green

Xigmatek Gaia SD1283

Asus VS239H-P

Total: $1195.89

Since it's for gaming only, I've opted with an FX6300 + GTX660Ti setup instead which would definitely help with Crysis 3.. Given you'll probably be able to hit 4.2ghz+ with the CPU, bottlenecking shouldn't be a problem either.

If you want to add the $150. If not, I'd go with the Hyper 212 evo ($30) and that comes out to ~ $1225

I'd say going with intel would be the best option for this build. I'd also say go with AMD since they have better performance in games, and have better game bundles ATM. The H110 is because you want a C70 (great case, love mine) and it fits in their.

You got a 500W PSU because at max your system should pull about 400Ws.

Have fun with this build.

Also, I gave you a TN monitor, because IPS are generally too slow (ghosting issues) for gaming and have longer input lag. Also, they aren't any worth buying at this price point. IPS shines at the over $500, but mostly at the + $1000 range.

First of all, the difference in input lag between an IPS and TN will be entirely not noticeable for a 60Hz TN

Also there are quality IPS panels in the $150-200 range for 1080p, the ones you are talking about are the ultra premium 2560x1440 panels

Look for LG or Asus for a ~$200 IPS

As for the other parts, the C70 is a horrible buy at regular price.

Don't get me wrong, I own a C70 and its great but not at a price of $110, you can get a similarly decent case for half as much and put the rest towards better components.

Get an amd gpu which has better driver optimization and better game bundle. Not to mention it out performs nvidia at a lower price point too

Don't get WD caviars because they just aren't worth it for the near non existent performance boost. Instead get barracuda

Isn't the H110 kinda of an overkill???

I have tried TN panels and i prefer IPS panels....

And for the cpu im not looking for any major overclocking so i dont think the 3570k is for me.

I wouldn't recommend an AIO watercooler for a gaming setup, since performance gains from CPU overclocking usually isn't worth it. Upping the GPU to a HD7950/7970 may be worth considering, but otherwise I don't think there's really much else worth changing.

Don't get an AiO, they are a complete waste of money and can be outperformed by an air cooler for less.

Slightly over budget but there is a $10.00 gift card from purchasing the 3570K and with the 7950, you get a couple of new titles (Bioshock Infinite + Crysis 3). And obviously, if you don't require a optical drive, get rid of it and save yourself $20.

You won't have trouble playing games, trust me. :p

If I was to recommend anything; it would be if you had an extra $100 or so, you could get yourself an SSD (120GB Samsung 840) which you can use for your boot drive, a few applications and of course, a few games.

Your right, the Caviar Black may not perform much better, but the extra 3 years on the warranty (5 years vs 2 years) is worth it, at least for me.

if you already have an SSD you don't need to buy a new one :D (unless you really want a new one)

Maybe a more powerfull PSU, if you're planing to upgrade later (Sli or whatever) you won't have to buy a new PSU. Also for the GPU i would recommend an AMD card, their bundle are better
