I'm looking to build my first PC,

1. Budget & Location

The budget for this build will be $1500 AUD

2. Aim

This system will be used for gaming (as high end as possible), i plan on playing most AAA games such as Call of Duty, Battlefield, Fortnite, GTA V, PUBG and more. I do hope to get as high FPS as possible.

3. Monitors

I plan to run 1 monitor and don't think I will be changing this soon, I will be running a 1080p monitor but may upgrade to a 1440p monitor in the future so if you could suggest a build for both 1080p and 1440p gaming.

4. Peripherals

I wont be needing to be purchasing any peripherals other than an OS which I am able to purchase for $85.

5. Why are you upgrading?

I am not upgrading from a previous computer as this is my first build.

Just looking for any help with building a gaming PC that will work for a long time, I do understand that GPU prices are very high so if a better GPU means a higher price then thats ok since prices should drop soon.

I do prefer to go with Intel but if going with AMD will mean higher FPS in games then thats fine with me.

Thanks

Thanks for the fast reply,

you're asking abit too much for $1500, it will go over budget. i'd recommend the i7 8700 instead of the 8600k too.

forgot to say not to worry about the budget for now but just try and keep the price as low as possible with i5-8600k and a GTX 1070 since im still hoping prices on GPUs will be coming down.

Also with RAM is 8GB enough for now and then upgrade in the future or is it best to just go with 16GB?

Thanks
