2: can it alter the cpus functionality 

3:How long can it last submerged in liquid nitrogen??

1.) yes, there's a risk of condensation breaking the CPU

2.) depends on how far you push the CPU voltage and other things...

3.) Until you run out of it or break the CPU or something else

1. Possibly, but generally no, as the liquid nitrogen is usually kept away from the CPU directly by the use of a "pot". Condensation is a worry though.

2. Define functionality. If you mean will it inherently make it go faster? No more than a half decent air cooler. It will however lower the resistance of the CPU and therefore reduce heat generated, as well as absorb generated heat really quickly because LN2 is frigging cold. Both of these things allow for overclockers to push the chip further.

3. Depends, the main issues would be condensation and cooling/heating cycles.

1 yes it can but you use a CPU that youll use everyday as this is only for comp overclocking and is not viable in a real setting 

 

2 umm no? unless you mean it dies then it can function lol 

 

3 and you just pour it on in small layers and before its all gone pour more. it will die if you get too much condensation from it heating and cooling so drastically if you dont keep LN on it the whole time
