Cleaning off thermal paste

so I have 70% medican isapropyl alcohol from my first aid kit. Would that work? Or does it HAVE to be 99%? Or do I actually need to use it at all? Also can I use thermal paste that came with my Hyper 212 evo that is still in the tube? Or should I get a new tube?

The 70% will work it will just take a little longer to wipe off need a little more pass-through's than 99%. I use 91% which can be purchased at any local pharmacy store.

i was thinking a certain way to phrase it but couldn't think of a good one haha. What I mean is that it will just take a little longer to clean off when wiping it off with your cloth.

90% is usually recommended.

I just use rubbing alcohol and a cotton pad...

90% at a dollar store will work better. also just use 90% a clean cloth and use the stock cooling paste. not that big o deal.
