I'm trying to buy some 3.5mm (1/8") mono audio cables. Mono, not stereo. But here's the thing- I need the slim, low profile ones. I CAN'T FIND THESE ANYWHERE!

 

Here's the closest thing I've found:

but of course I need jacks on both ends.

Looks like what he's looking for, though it's probably found for cheaper outside of amazon.

Wait, why does it need to be mono?  If you have a stereo source and want to mix down to mono, or have a mono source and want to split to stereo, you'll want something like this instead: (obviously with 3.5mm and not 1/4" though)

If you have mono on both ends though, an ordinary stereo cable should work, since the ring part of the TRS will just become part of the shaft (s).

 

Finally, if you have stereo on both ends, why are you trying to eliminate that?

 

Anyway, what @W-L posted above looks like the best option.  I'll leave what I found here but honestly none of it is as good.

buy two of those, solder the wires together and heatshrink each of them, then heatshrink the entire section

He'd have to buy the corrected size jacks as well. Those are 2.5mm instead of 3.5mm. 

 

But hey DIY and heatshrink works as well, just requires time.
