Hello,

I have setup my frist bult PC. Hope everything is fine eventhough it runs.

I have installed W7 on the PC.

I Use the Corsair H110i Cooler. Since I have first started my PC it tells me

CPU Fan Error at the beginning. I have downloaded the corsair software

to controll the fans! Is this normal?

If not, what Am I supposed to do?

Thanks for your help and cheers

Are the fans spinning?

If not maybe switch the CPUfan1/cpufan2 connectors on the fans. If that fails? I don't know. Maybe reset the bios. You may have got broken fans if they aren't spinning. There are lots of fan inputs on your mb. Doubt they are all broken. Some wont have speed control, but it will show you if it is the MB or the fan. If the fans are spinning something is whacked in the bios I guess. A reset won't hurt.

I would check the corsair forum or see if they have live help. I know the software has caused a lot of complaints.

The good thing is your fans are spinning though. :) I am sure it will get sorted out. Might be bios version, or software version. Probably something along those lines. Chances are someone had the same motherboard and the same problem and posted a fix or Corsair will know it.

Hello mix master. Of what level are you getting this error? Are you getting this notification in the boot up area where your computer powers on. If this is the case. It could be that your sys fan header is not occupied. In this case if your not needing it or using it. Somewhere I. The bios you can disable the message. Hope this helps. Of this happening inside windows I'm not sure. You should look in windows event log for errors.

Make sure that your fan is plugged into CPU_FAN header and try doing a CMOS reset to reset the bios settings (refer to your motherboard manual for instructions).

you can get the same error if the CPU_FAN rpm is too low (600rpm is default) . some

UEFI can let you change the warning RPM (ASUS). i got this when using the SP120 PE

PWM and the RPM was 550rpm, triggering the 600RPM warning. fan profile was silent.

This is perfectly normal, this error message is usually displayed when the minimum RPM of your fans is actually lower than the minimum RPM of the motherboard.
You can go into the BIOS and force your motherboard to "ignore" the minimum RPMs, i.e. let the fan control its minimum RPM for itself rather than letting the board do it.

Like said before, its BIOS level issue and has nothing to do with Corsairs software. Either have rad fans plugged into CPU_FAN header or disable warning from BIOS. Its under PC Health.
