I get that you want us to take into account the things you mentioned, but you haven't really mentioned any systems specs so I don't know what your max res and Hz combination would be and I don't know how far you are from the screen so I can't tell you what size you should get. Could you provide some more information and then I can help you out? Another thing is you didn't mention if you cared about the panel technology either.

So I would likely go with this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-G2460VQ6-Monitor-DisplayPort-response/dp/B015510R4M/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_pdt_img_sims?ie=UTF8&tag=linustechtips-21

The reasoning is as follows, its cheaper than the LG, its 75Hz its 24 inches and it has free sync

If you do not have an AMD GPU freesync will be useless but even then it still seems like the best option as I would pay 15 bucks for 15fps in this case rather than getting the ASUS (also ASUS is blacklisted by me)

Edit: The other AOC (24incher) monitor is probably the second best choice as it is the cheapest 24inch, honestly the ASUS monitor seems to be the worst buy, the LG is simply to much more expensive to get consideration from me and the 21 inch one is only 5 bucks less than the 24inch after shipping.

Well then it comes down to whether 15fps is worth 30 pounds, as the other 24inch AOC is only 60fps I personally would getthe 75Hz anyway but I'm also not on a tight budget, so that call is ultimately up to you. But I would be deciding between the two below based on how much 75Hz is valuable to you.

Freesync only affects screen tearing and input delay, along with allowing for sync to a lower fps if performance is lower than what is required for 75hz, it doesn't affect the refresh rate available to other cards and you can use fastsync to get the first two benefits via nvidia settings.

It is and we didn't even mention gsync xD

Either way don't worry about it, it won't affect anything its just not usable with a nvidia gpu.

Wait so I can't use the 75 hz monitors?! If I can't then I should just get a 75 hz

No, you can use 75Hz monitors the feature known as Freesync simply doesn't work, the monitor still runs at 75Hz free sync only is in essence a low latency vsync variant, do not worry about it the 75Hz will work

So you're saying that i will get a 75 hz with a not as good freesync ,But it will be a bit slower than the actual freesync?

And is it possible to turn it back to 60 hz?

I'm saying that the monitors will be a 75Hz monitor and because the GPU isn't an AMD one that freesync will not work, but frankly freesync does not matter that much, as for setting it to 60Hz I'm unsure you but  could set a frame cap via nvidia control panel but I don't see much reason to do so, why limit fps if you don't need too.

As for the stuff I was saying about fastsync, fastsync is a feature in the nvidia control panel that acts like freesync but has one less feature variable refresh, which allows the monitor to adjust the refresh rate while playing as needed if the fps gets lower than the max refresh rate, in this case if the monitor got lower than 75Hz it could set it down to 60 without user input.

Basically the 75Hz monitor has no downsides other than being a bit pricier

So to summarise

Freesync - Can set hz limits if FPS drops below 75 and back

Fastsync - Same work, allows 75 hz but does not have the functionality of changing the hz if fps drops which can cause tearing

Yes, though neither are needed for 75 Hz that is simply the monitors hardware limit. They allow for a cap at 75Hz to prevent tearing without causing input delay (input delay being the amount of time it takes for your key presses to cause action to occur on the screen)

Sorry for confusing you

So you don't even need freesync or fast sync to get 75 hz, its just a benefitial feature that comes with it

I would, its 75Hz at 24inches for 15 extra pounds or 30 extra pounds than the 60fps models, oh and you linked the 21inch model which there is no reason to consider the one I think you wanted to link this one

They have a decent reputation for making good budget monitors, they aren't as well know though and they don't have quite as good as a reputation compared to places like LG as a result; also their warranty seems to be 3 years

You could ask the forum what they think of AOC as some of them probably have dealt with them, my personal experience is they make decent product at a good price, they aren't the most high end but better than other lesser known brands.
