Thoughts on Lenovo L380 Yoga? 2-in-1 for uni

Hey guys, I'm leaving for college in the fall and have been googling myself crazy trying to pick the right laptop for university. In my search I came across the Lenovo L380 which you can check out here. While I was checking reviews and stuff I came across a notebookcheck article which you can find here and it mentions that the display uses PWM at 217 Hz below 90% screen brightness IIRC. What do you guys think about this? Would PWM be a deal breaker for you? If anyone has any other thoughts on the laptop I'd also appreciate them.

Anyway, the whole reason why I came across this laptop in the first place is because I'm searching for a new 2-in-1 laptop for university, I swear the more I search the more confused and torn on what to buy I get. What do you guys think is, in your opinion, the best 2-in-1 laptop the meets the following criteria:

  • 13-14 in. IPS ≥ 1920 x 1080 res.
  • Active/AES pen support
  • 8th gen Intel Core i5
  • 8GB RAM
  • ≥ 250 GB SSD
  • ≥ 8 hours battery life (is this enough for university?)
  • Ships US
  • ~$800 after buying active pen unless it comes with it, I'd like to keep it to a max of $950 but if the gains are worth maybe a little over, also remember student discounts

What I'm looking for is the laptop that meets the above criteria and comes out on top when it comes to weight, thermals, pen quality, and keyboard. Not really worried about having dedicated graphics or quality of trackpad.

Some of the laptops I was already looking at are the

  • Above mentioned Lenovo L380 Yoga
  • Acer spin 5, particularly this model
  • HP spectre x360 13t touch

After looking at a few more laptops for a few more days I realized I was lost and decided to come here. I'm really sorry if I'm asking for too much here but I'm losing my mind. Thanks in advance.

These options are good, Spin 5 13 is good but not 'excellent'. Check NBC reviews to compare.
