Gtx 1080  gigabyte windforce oc ovelclocked to 1910 mhz but only reaches 1800 in stress tests (msi kombustor) gets to 66c after 4 min of stress testing is that normal???

 

Also when playing fortnite 1080p epic settings 1900 mhz no problem.

stress tests like Furmark are meant to increase power draw at the same clock speed compared to games. That's why you should tune your overclock with apps/games you commonly run, not some stress test.

Thats GPU boost 3.0 for you. As the card heats up, it will lower the clocks to keep thermals in check regardless of where you have it set too.

yes but there are some 1080s that can oc to 2ghz no problem but mine heats up like crazy at 1900mhz.Thats why I think its a bit weird.

did you apply an overclock to it as well, or is that just factory OC? Factory OC will never reach those. You will need to manually add voltage and temp limit and core clock and memory clock to reach those.

in games? The gigabyte card you're using doesnt have the best of cooling despite 3 fans, so I'm not surprised.

i have applied an oc manualy but how much % should i increase the voltage limit???

you can increase the voltage limit to 100%. There is a built in voltage limiter to 1093mv so it will never go past that unless you have a custom bios installed on the card.
