Hi,

I'm looking at building a new PC soon with most likely a Ryzen 2700. In my current PC I have a Corsair H60, and I'm thinking about using it for the new PC build. I know I need to buy the AM4 mount. But my concern or question is that I build this PC in 2013. Should I be concerned with putting the H60 which is 5-ish years old into my new build? I haven't had any issues with my H60, so I assume its fine and shouldn't leak. I know the wraith spire should be fine, but then I just have a H60 sitting around so like why not use it.

Been her for a while but never posted a thread before so please be kind.

It should be fine but you can fall back to the stock cooler if it fails.

Greetings,

I don't see why there would be an issue with the H60. AIOs are not as prone to leaking as a custom water cooling solution, so it should be find when you move it.

Overall, I think you will see better temperatures with the AIO than the included cooler.

One thing you may want to replace is the fan on the H60. After 5 years, the bearings could be starting to go bad.

And if it doesn't work well for you, then just switch the coolers out.

Good luck

my biggest concern was just if it leaked, just cause that would suck after getting new parts.

About 2 years ago I replaced the fans with corsair SP120, they look and sound fine. I clean it out every 2 months.

Failure is more likely to occur from a failed pump than leaking on an old AIO.
