help with zeepad 7.0 boot up

hi.my nefew asked me if i could help her since she forgot her password for her tablet(zeepad 7.0)and i did,so as in any other android divice i pressed the power button and volume up to enter boot up setting and then when an android guy comes out you are supposed to press both volumes and then you enter the options,but here when i press both volumes nothing happens,so any ideas that could help me please.thanks
