How bout the ryzen 5 2400g with a 1050?

I edited my first comment.

AutoCAD favors single-core performace. The i3 performs better in single-core in benchmarks than the Ryzen 5.

Benchmarks:

UserBenchMark

PassMark CPU

I need a better performance pc too run a 3D designing program (AutoCAD Inventor) but i cant made up my mind on my cpu, need advice

Which is better,

Mobo: Gigabyte AB350 gaming 3

Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 2400g

Or

Mobo: MSI Z370 gaming plus

Cpu: Intel i3 8350k

Psu: Evga 500 bv

Ram: Corsair 8gb ddr4 2133MHZ

case: cooler master mastercase lite 5 rgb

Hdd: WD cavier blue 1tb

Do you have an idea of a GPU?

The i3 beats the Ryzen 5 in most benchmarks I see (at least in single core), but the Ryzen 5 has a slight advantage in multi-core, which I think you'd be needing in AutoCAD.

EDIT: AutoCAD favors single-core performance, and doesn't utilize multiple cores

If you don't want a GPU, the Ryzen has Radeon Graphics built in, so I would go with that.

EDIT: Linus made a very good video on the Ryzen 5

It looks like the i3 with a 1050 would be a better bet. You could just buy a used one off of Craigslist for like $150.
