I have a Threadripper 1950x. What GPU should I pair that with?

I do mostly heavy work on multiple monitors (3D, video editing, photo editing, trading). I might play some game occasionally and want it to be VR ready. I am not looking for a GPU that is blinking like a disco.

My budget for the GPU is up to $1300.

Any ideas of what to pick?

Get a Quadro card or a Vega 64

Vega 64 seems like a good choice for the professional workloads you're doing, tough a Titan Xp would deliver better gaming and VR experiences.

@Hugs12343 what about his budget tough?

Didn't you look at his/her budget?

S/he said max 1300$.

Titan V is 3000, and a vr ready quadro is 4000-6000. His/her only real choices are a Vega 64 or a Titan Xp. Either of them are fine, but depending on his/her programs one might be better.

Thanks for your input. The Nvidia Titan XP seem to be about $1500 and not in stock anywhere in my country. Vega 64 seems quite cheap (~$900). How is Vega 64 compared to any ramdom GTX 1080 ti?

Vega 64 is a good option in your workflow. A little less fps in games, but better in some work applications. Both the 64 and 1080ti crush vr applications, so no worries in there
