Any Free DAWs?????

Go to solution Solved by Mamonos,

It really depends on what you want to do with it.

Audacity is the most common and it's very basic. It's good if you need to edit some single tracks or stuff like that.

If you are into slightly more complex project and are looking for something more similar to an "industry standard" DAW (such as ProTools or Logic) then my favourite one would be REAPER, it has a 60-days fully functional trial but after it expires you can still use the software (there will just be a "buy" prompt when you start the software).

There are many others but in my opinion these 2 are a good starting point.

I just want to play around with some audio software particularly Digital Audio Workstations. I started with FL Studio 12 but exports aren't allowed.

Any similar free software or trials that I can play around with?? I don't mind limited features as I have to do this on my laptop which isn't that powerful anyway. I don't mind if there is a trial period, if it runs well on my laptop then maybe I could buy it later.

I tried Audacity but there aren't many options. Thanks I will definitely look into REAPER

What is a VST??? Functions??? I could google it but still could you give a simple explanation.

It’s your instrument in your computer.

Here’s a good piano one.

maybe later in a few days I’ll tell you how to import vst if you don’t find out how to do it on reaper’s website.
