Gtx 1060 cable problem

Hi guys 

My gpu(1060 3gb)works only in hdmi.i know its strange but thats true but now iam switching from 60hz to 144hz monitor.

So i heard bluerigger highspeed hdmi can deliver upto 240hz in amazon india

I dont have any idea

If thats true ill buy a new one or else ill stick with it

No, no HDMI cable supports over 60Hz at 1080p.

You will have to change your GPU if it does not have DVI-D Dual-Link or DisplayPort ports (I would be surprised it does not though).

 

EDIT: To be clear, you can still use your new monitor at 60Hz with the HDMI cable.

Depends on the monitor, not the cable. Some monitors are limited to 60 Hz over HDMI.

First of all Thank u for being here for us.

I think ill go with samsung C24FG70 if u are sure it can reach 144hz not 120hz in hdmi

i checked my gpu specs it has hdmi2.0b

The C24FG70 only goes up to 120 Hz as far as I know. Most other ones do too.

 

You should get the ViewSonic XG2401 or XG2402 if you want 144 Hz over HDMI.

Viewsonic are expensive in india

Xg2402 is 530 usd here :(
