My S8+ touch screen has stopped responding and I feel like I've tried every fix. When I turn on the phone there is a split second where it'll register one touch but after that nothing, which suggests to me it is a software issue rather than the screen itself being broken. I've tried:

  • Hard resetting the phone by holding the power and volume up.
  • Launched the phone in safe mode.
  • Connecting a mouse and which works fine, but really dont wanna have to carry a mouse with me everywhere I go.
  • I've wiped the phone and returned it to factory default.
  • I've removed the sim and restarted to see if that would help.

I cant think of what else I could do short of going to a repair shop, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions before I do.

Thanks in advance

Sounds like its time to take advantage of your warranty (or insurance if you have it).  Definitely seems broken for whatever reason.
