Long time lurker first time poster.

So I work as an Architectural Technician and use autocad,  I use a Logitech G13 game pad for macros as im left handed and hate reaching for escape all the time, but at places i work im not allowed to install software, so was wondering what would be the best way to make a mechanical keyboard (either kit form, circuit board or arduino) that I could set up with macro commands and could plug into a computer without requiring specialist software (either logitech or multiple keyboard stuff like Taran's) to get it to work so i could just take it to work and use it, ideally a notepad file to changes settings but not fussy on that front.

check out genovation keypads I use 2 682s, and cp48 looks good too,

program them at home and upload to keypad take to work or anywhere
