NAT TYPE open

anyone have a good way to make your nat type open on w10, after an windows update i had problems with my wifi and being hard to find or join games, but then i noticed that my nat type is closed and every youtube video shows how but it doesnt work.

You need to mess around with the firewall settings. add the app you want full access to internet in it and add the udp and tcp ports and it should fix it.

 

don't just open up a whole type though. you will be virus infected in minutes

okay so i  just went to the firewall but everything was allowed (for my games and apps) so i dont think is just the firewall.

trust me manually enter the *.exe to the firewall and add the ports to that. I had updates show all allowed before and this fixed it. Just to test this though you can turn off firewall and do a quick test.

Its not Windows 10. Your router has a firewall built in. You need to do port forwarding onyour router.
