i'm using my laptop since almost 3 years, but 1 thing i didn't notice is sound card. is my sound card is capable of 7.1 dolby atmos sound?

because i tries a video file with dolby 7.1 and it did'n work in my laptop because there is no sound i can hear in my headset or even speaker of my laptop.

is there anything i can do?

You most likely need to install the codec to support it. It is available through the Windows Store; if you search for "Dolby Access" or right click your sound icon on taskbar and select spatial sound > dolby atmos for headphones it'll take you to the page.

It gives you a 30 day free trial then you have to pay about $20 for it. I tried it, and didn't think it was worth the price compared to "traditional" surround sound; it might be worth it if you pay for a super expensive atmos-enabled headset, but in that case I would hope they include the cost of the codec as well.
