Limited by CPU

I plan on getting the 1180 when it comes out, how much will it be limited by the i7-8700K?

I don't want to buy a new mobo if it won't affect me that much

you wont be limited or bottlenecked with the 8700k on the new generation GPUs when they launch later this year.

how can anyone possibly answer this at this moment?.

8700K is the best gaming CPU available as it is currently. If it bottlenecks in some game, too bad. There's nothing else out there that wouldn't. 

 

Side note: We can't predict future.

Imagine a 7700K overclocked to 5.0Ghz.

Then add two extra cores with hyperthreading.

Add 50% extra L3 cache.

Now spice it a bit with a little, tiny IPC increment.

BOOM you have a 8700K.
