I have a 6700k and have had it about a month after they release skylake. I have never had a problem but recently wanted to play around with the overclocking profile. I ran AIDA 64 for the first time in about a year and found temps pushing 70C and sometimes spiking in the 90s before coming right back down to 60-50c range. Then another core would take its turn and spike. I was running the Corsair H100i and had thought the pump went out since it was not adequate cooling. I then ran to my nearest Microcenter to pick up a upgrade since this one didn't seem to be working anymore. I got the H115i Pro, just for good measure. It did lower the temps from 90c but still spiking in the 80c-75c range when running AIDA 64 and ranging from 55c-75c. I have a overclock at 4.6Ghz at 1.35 volts. When I first got the CPU and ran the AIDA 64 for 24 hours, I never once got a hardware failure message or a blue screen and temps ran smoothly at 55-60c with no single core spiking. I really hope my CPU has just overheated and never will run the same. I have searched everywhere on forums and really need some help.

What are your ambient temps? Does pushing down on the water block help temps?

Your temps don't seem too out of the ordinary. As long as temps don't get higher during non-synthetic loads, there's nothing to worry about. Delidding might help if you want lower temps.

This really only applies to the SOC voltages. CPU Voltages wont actually get affected that much by this type of swing.

I have a corsair commander pro, it's reading Temps in the 30-35c in the case. I'm just more worried about the insane about of spiking. When gaming there are a few spikes above 65c on each core but nothing more than that. Pushing on the block does not change anything. I am tempted to delid.

That seems perfectly fine. If spikes don't get up as high as the synthetic loads, there's nothing to worry about.
