Help with a Processor upgrade

Kyperitus

I've been running an intel I7 3770k for a few years now, it's been running great and I haven't really noticed any bottle-necking with it in the games I play. however, i'm getting ready to start a new build as the LGA 1155 socket doesn't have new motherboards available and the crappy mobo I have doesn't have any m.2 slots, the locks for the ram fell off a while ago, and it's just getting old to say the least. I was just wondering if anybody could through me in the right direction for a CPU that would be a clear upgrade from this. I don't have a preference for Intel or AMD, so long as it's a definite upgrade either way.

Current specs are as follows:

Intel I7-3770k with stock are cooling (the AIO I was using shit the bed on me, no overclocking on the CPU)

8 gigs of DDR3 ram (I realize 8 gigs isn't a lot these days but i haven't needed to upgrade)

AMD R9 390 8 gig video card

DH67CL Intel Mobo ( https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813121480 )

Corsair Vengeance ram (this exact set: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145345 )

Any help with the CPU would be appreciated, or if somebody knows of a Mobo I can just swap to that would be fantastic, pretty sure all the LGA 1155 Mobos stopped production however and i've not found any anywhere.

LGA 1155 motherboards are only available used. P67, Z68, Z75 and Z77 all support this CPU and overclocking with it, but the former two will need a newer BIOS version.

How much can you spend in total? I mean, any good upgrade on the CPU will also need DDR4 RAM and that will eat up quite a lot of your budget.

I don't really have a budget, like I said in my post, if it's a clear upgrade i'll go for it. that being said, I obviously don't want to spend more than 5-600 on a cpu that's just going to be outdated in 2 years; but the upgrade to DDR4 ram was anticipated.
