Hey LTT forums thinking of building a PC. I sold my old one and now am regretting. Here is what I got so far i'm seeing if theirs anything you guys can spot that's unnecessary and I could probably lower for a better price due to i'm at $1236 CAD. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/QV8V7W btw just using one of my mid tower cases so don't have that in the list. I'm going to be using the computer for playing some games like far cry 5 and newer games that come out in the future really everything. also work etc. Was gonna try using the internal ssd's for the first time do they last long? any issues with them? Thanks for reading!

Nope the i7 has tons of power plus I'm not really experienced with that and people say that you gotta apply thermal paste more frequent.

And what's your budget in CAD?

Ummm i'm just seeing if i can lower it from 1.2 I can spend $1200 just rather not not sure if I should just purchase a i5? and possibly just get a 960 ti 2gb for $50 from a local friend? but i'd see that waste because I kind of just want to purchase once. For a while

Check out this build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/4xwBZR

It's more than $1200 but that doesn't matter because your build (https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/QV8V7W) doesn't include the price of the motherboard.

It'll perform better than your build because it has a GTX 1060 6GB which is more powerful than a GTX 1050 Ti. You also don't need an i7 for gaming, an i5 is plenty.
