Laptop?

So what do y'all think of this laptop? Seems like a pretty nice price point for a 1060, m2 sata, and a 1tb drive with a 120hz monitor.

 

This would be a mostly school pc, but with an occasional Rainbow Six Siege or PUBG during mobile occasions. $900 is my max budget, so I am up to suggestions!

The only potential issue I see with this laptop for school is the weight. At almost 6 lbs it might start to get heavy in your backpack however it is a personal preference thing. Battery life might be a concern though since faster laptops drain more battery and gaming laptops are notorious for that.

PUBG will struggle with 3GB VRAM. Also, bad cooling may introduce to slightly reduced performance and shorten lifespan of components.

3gb vram is bad as the guy above said, also if you would just play pubg and other graphic demanding games, you should skip 120hz and get the full 6gb version.

120hz is fine but it's only good for eSports games, and you can't push that much FPS in pubg with a 1060.

and tbh 7577 is a great laptop man, my brother owns it, I'm speaking from experience.

Yeah I think I'll probably get that one because the price point seems rather nice for a 1060 6gb

Just keep in mind that 7577 has Max-Q variant of 1060, however you can further tune it to a regular 1060N due to good cooling

Since it has a Thunderbolt could you theoretically run a desktop gpu through it as well in the future?

Yes. Just be aware of reduced performance for anything more powerful than 1060
