So today I went on PC Partpicker, and it gave me a notification saying that my Gigabyte - Z370P D3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard was no longer compatible with my i5-8400 CPU. I tried looking for a different motherboard with the "Compatability" filter on, however no results came up. I tried it with a few different i5s, and there were still no motherboards. Could this be a glitch in their system? If so, I was wondering how I can identify which motherboards are compatible with which CPUs for the future, without having to use this filter.

That CPU will work just fine in that Motherboard. The Z370 and intel 3xx series chipsets will work just fine with the 8400.

There is really no one rule to know which motherboards work with which CPUs.

I can tell you 8th Feb Intel CPU's need Z370 B360 H370 or H310 boards.
