I've been using my HD 6950 2gb for almost a year now and its charm is wearing off.

It can run Rainbow 6 ` at 10-60fps on the lowest and on 480p, my eyes hurt all lot.

So I went looking on the local second-hand website and holy fuck is it depressing. broken cards are going for 100+

there was a nice 780 last weak sold for $185 NZD, I missed the auction end ;-;

I have seen a GTX 680 4gb for $150 NZD (100usd), so is it worth it or is it just a prank.

I've seen it's almost = to a 1050ti.

any recommendations??? buy it???? wait for more shit????

also I only really want to play games like Rainbow, and I guess PUBG, and insurgency sandstorm when it comes out (it runs on the unreal engine).

Are you saying that the 680 is about the same price as a 1050ti?

Hii,

I think you should look into a nice high end gpu.

a 980ti for around 350$ would be a great upgrade.

Or maybe look into a new 1060 6gb seen em around 280$

If your budget is a bit bigger also the 1070TI is a good value for 400$ second hand 500$ new :)

m8 i have 200nzd, thats 140ish USD, plus fucking tax.

980 still goes or $350-500 here. let alone a brand new card.

how much is an R9 285, R9 380 or R9 270X where you live?

Have you looked at an R9 280x? Not sure how much they run in your country secondhand, but it's a decent card. I rocked one for years until I recently built a new rig and it handled modern games on decent settings @ 1080p.

there is one for $340, which is BS, there are two r9 380's but they don't seem to keep up with the 1050ti so I kept away. I saw a 290 for $300 bullshit also. I think it's waiting for the right thing that the right price but the gtx 680 4gb excited me. if you want to look yourself https://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/components/video-cards/pciexpress?rsqid=7c179f9eb5024bc6b99bb0211d16e13c

I cant have the long tri fan cards it won't fit in my case which is a bum as they always go for cheap.
