Can you install the update from a download instead of windows updater?

Edit- Never mind.  I see it happens on the reboot of the install.

Have you tried this?

okay no bsod this time. but when the windows 10 asisstant asked me to restart it passed and it says windows is configuring update. no bsod however all of sudden my pc did a restart  and this time it says its restoring to the previous windows version. i still dont get it. so bsod is over and im dealing with new problems with upgrading windows .. sigh

OK, so if you aren't BSOD anymore, try to install the update manually instead of through the updater.

Find the update here and install it as an executable.
