Yes and no. You'd have to get identical ram, same speed and CAS latency, but if you can do that you should be good. Same manufacturer is also good. You might run into some comparability issues right at the start, but you should be able to iron them out pretty easily.

Nah, doesn't have to be same speed. IIRC all modules will just run at the speed of the slowest one.
