i want to get a laptop for gaming and some school work. here are the ones i got. any suggestions you are more than welcome to leave suggestions to.

Well, that second laptop doesn't even have a GPU, so it probably wont be that great for gaming.

Of those 2, the first one.  Replace HDD with SSD and enjoy.

Both don't have SSDs which in 2018 is a sin for anything above 600$. The second does have a nice display which I would recommend for school work but it doesn't have a graphics card so it won't game at all. The first has a graphics card so if it's just for gaming the first is the clear choice

First one is based on Quanta NL9K which has a good enough cooling. Second one seems not a comparison as there's no dGPU. For gaming definitely the first option.
